Happy Family

We strive to help our client families return back to the days when there was peace, joy and love in their home and life. Regardless of the situation, Attorney Santomauro and his staff work tirelessly to bring some semblance of  calm and peace back into our clients family lives.

Family Law Practice Areas

Family Law

The most rewarding area of family law we practice is in the area of adoption, legally placing children in loving and caring homes. Whether you are a step-parent seeking to adopt your spouses children legally or welcoming a child into your family, we take great pride in helping you through the entire adoption process.

While adopting can be complex, Attorney Santomauro and his legal staff walk you every step of the way so that in the end there are nothing but smiling faces all around. From background checks and social service visits to filing all the necessary and required documents, you will be grateful to have Attorney Santomauro represent you in this momentous and joyful endeavor.

Family Law

Clients who need representation for child custody and/or child support issues need an understanding, compassionate yet aggressive attorney to assure parental or guardianship rights are upheld. We work diligently with the opposing counsel to ensure that all custody and support issues are addressed and resolved with a spirit of fair and equitable justice.

Every child custody and support case is unique to the family involved and the relationship of the parents or legal guardians. When circumstances allow and there is amicable cooperation between the parties our clients are able to establish amenable terms that work to the benefit of all. But when conflict arises and there is no other choice but to go before a court, we diligently work to represent the best interest of our client.

Family Law

Couples who find themselves at a relational crossroads may choose to seek a divorce. A divorce can be an emotional and traumatic decision, as well as life-changing and financially draining propostition. We approach the complexities of each divorce with the knowledge and understanding that our work can help our client heal from tje wounds of hurt, betrayal and separation. With that in mind, we treat our clients with the utmost dignity and respect in representing them from the first consultation to the issuance of the divorce decree. Whether a divorce proceeds in a calm and peaceful manner or requires litigation before the court, our clients can rest assured that we have their best interest ever in the forefront of the process.

Family Law

As much as we hope that we never have to use our emergency or contingency plan, the old saying, “it is better to be safe than sorry,” might apply just as well to couples considering marriage. No one wants to think that their marriage will end other than “until death do us part,” yet over 50% of all marriages end in divorce.

A marital agreement is a way to prepare for that possibility. With a comprehensive and all-encompassing agreement, each party not only protects themselves, but more importantly, if ever needed, will positively benefit both parties by eliminating or reducing costly and time consuming litigation. Let us help you prepare your marital agreement and have the confidence to know that you are being guided by an attorney and counselor-at-law with over twenty-fives years of experience and care for his clients.

Family Law

There may come a time when you are threatened by your spouse, partner, or other family member with physical harm and request a protection from abuse, or PFA, order issued by the court. Abuse knows no boundaries and can happen to anyone regardless of age, gender, race, or any other socio-economic factor.

A PFA can be issued in an emergency from a district judge, temporary or permanent lasting up to three years. Our law firm  has extensive experience in assisting clients with obtaining PFA’s. If you are in need of an emergency PFA, please do not hesitate to contact Attorney Santomauro at any time, day or night, by calling his cell phone at  (570) 362-3902.

Family Law

Pennsylvania has three different types of spousal support, given to the dependent spouse (the spouse with the lower income) namely: spousal support which is only available to a dependent spouse who is separated but has yet to file for divorce;  alimony pendente lite, which may be received by the dependent spouse but only after filing for divorce; and alimony, which may be given to the dependent spouse  as part of the divorce decree.

Our law firm represents our clients best interest  by submitting documentation to the court to help in its assessing of the equitable distribution of assets and debts. Having a veteran lawyer like Attorney Santomauro assures that you will be fully represented so as to obtain a satisfactory and acceptable end result.
